DNS does not resolve

  1. Confirm the domain is active and not expired.
  2. Confirm the registry nameservers match the DNS zone you edited.
  3. Check the exact record name, type, content, and TTL.
  4. Remove conflicting records only after confirming which service depends on them.
  5. Wait for the previous TTL and DNS processing before repeating the write.
An API write being accepted does not prove that every recursive resolver already sees the result. Keep the request ID and poll the relevant domain read endpoint or Customer Dash.

Email domain is not verified

Open the Email Hosting DNS page and compare every required MX, TXT, and other record with the authoritative DNS zone. Avoid adding the same record to a non-authoritative DNS service. Use the DNS synchronization feature only when the product confirms it can manage that zone; otherwise copy the required records or use DNS assistance.

Mailbox or client cannot connect

  • Confirm the service and mailbox are active and within plan limits.
  • Re-enter the full email address as the username.
  • Use the protocol, hostname, ports, encryption mode, and authentication values displayed for the Email Hosting service.
  • Reset the mailbox password if its state is uncertain; do not request the current password from support.
  • Test webmail to separate a mailbox problem from a local client problem.
When contacting support, provide the domain, mailbox address, timestamp, client name, server hostname, port, encryption mode, and sanitized error. Never provide the mailbox password.
