How KmerHosting collects, uses, protects and retains personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains how KmerHosting handles personal information when you visit our websites, contact us, create or use an account, request support, register a domain, purchase hosting, use a product, or otherwise use a KmerHosting service.
KmerHosting operates from Yaoundé, Cameroon, and is the service provider responsible for the website and service processing described here. The legal entity responsible for a particular order is identified on the relevant order, invoice, service page, or agreement. If those documents contain service-specific privacy terms, they supplement this policy.
The information we collect depends on how you interact with KmerHosting. We aim to collect information that is relevant and reasonably necessary for the stated purpose.
We receive information directly from you when you submit a form, open a support conversation, place an order, configure a service, or contact us. We also receive information automatically from the browser and services you use, such as security logs, service telemetry, analytics events, and chat events.
We may receive limited information from service providers that support payment processing, domain registration, hosting, email delivery, security, customer support, analytics, or identity verification. We do not ask third parties to provide information that is unnecessary for the relevant service.
Depending on the service and the applicable law, we process personal information for the following purposes and lawful bases:
KmerHosting loads Brevo Conversations automatically as a support channel. Depending on Brevo's configuration and your browser, loading the widget may allow Brevo to process visitor context such as the page currently viewed, URL, country or approximate location, device, browser, referrer, time on page, and widget activity before you open or submit a chat.
If you provide your name, email address, phone number, or other details in the chat contact form, those details and the conversation may be associated with a Brevo contact so that we can reply and manage the request. Do not send passwords, private keys, payment card numbers, authentication tokens, or confidential third-party information through chat.
Brevo is a separate service provider. Its processing is also governed by its own terms and privacy documentation. We use the widget to provide support; opening the widget does not by itself identify you as a KmerHosting customer. If you submit a contact form or message, the information you provide may be used to reply to you and manage the request.
KmerHosting and its providers may process information in countries different from the country where you live. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we will use an approved transfer mechanism or other lawful safeguard. The countries and providers involved can vary by service, so review the service-specific information and provider notices when relevant.
We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including service delivery, security, support, accounting, legal compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and enforcement of agreements. Retention periods differ by category and service and may also be affected by applicable Cameroonian legal requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it, anonymize it, or securely restrict it where deletion is not immediately possible.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and the risk. These may include access controls, authentication, encryption in transit where supported, logging, backups, monitoring, and incident-response procedures. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so do not submit secrets through public forms, email, or chat.
Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or portability of your personal information. You may also object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, opt out of non-essential marketing, and request information about the purposes, categories, recipients, and retention of your data.

KmerHosting services are intended for businesses, developers, organizations, and other users who can lawfully enter into the relevant service relationship. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so that we can review and take appropriate action.
If you believe that your personal information has been misused or that a security incident may have occurred, contact [email protected] promptly with enough detail for us to investigate. KmerHosting operates from Yaoundé, Cameroon, and handles personal-data processing in accordance with applicable Cameroonian law, including Law No. 2024/017 of 23 December 2024 on the protection of personal data. You may also complain to a competent supervisory authority with jurisdiction over your situation. Where a Cameroonian data-protection authority is legally competent but not yet operational, the availability of that complaint route depends on its formal establishment and operating procedures.
We may update this policy when our services, providers, legal obligations, or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
