AI Usage Policy

1. Overview

This AI Usage Policy governs your use of all artificial intelligence features and services offered by KmerHosting, including but not limited to: the KmerHosting AI chat interface (available at kmerhosting.com/ai and ai.kmerhosting.com), AI-powered hosting management tools, automated diagnostic assistants, and any AI integrations within the client portal.

By using any KmerHosting AI service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this policy. This policy is in addition to, and should be read alongside, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

2. Acceptable Use

KmerHosting AI services are designed to assist users with legitimate technical and creative tasks. Acceptable uses include:

• Technical troubleshooting and support for KmerHosting services (server configuration, DNS, nginx, Apache, etc.).
• Code generation, review, refactoring, and optimization for web, mobile, or server applications.
• Writing assistance, content drafting, and summarization for business or personal projects.
• Data analysis, interpretation, and visualization assistance.
• Learning and education: asking conceptual questions, exploring new technologies.
• Research assistance within legal and ethical boundaries.
• General productivity tasks: emails, templates, project planning.

3. Prohibited Activities

You are strictly prohibited from using KmerHosting AI for any of the following:

• Harmful Content Generation: Any content that is hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or promotes violence or self-harm.
• Malware & Exploits: Generating malicious code, ransomware, spyware, phishing kits, or exploit scripts.
• Misinformation Campaigns: Automated generation of false news, fake reviews, or large-scale misinformation content.
• Jailbreaking Attempts: Trying to circumvent content filters, override system instructions, or reverse-engineer model behavior.
• Personal Data Processing: Submitting sensitive personal data (credit card numbers, passwords, ID numbers, health data) belonging to yourself or others.
• IP Infringement: Requesting content that reproduces copyrighted works, trade secrets, or proprietary information without authorization.
• Deceptive Impersonation: Using AI to generate content that falsely impersonates individuals, organizations, or governments.
• Illegal Activities: Any use that facilitates illegal activities under Cameroonian or international law.
• Automated Abuse: Using bots or scripts to submit high-volume requests in a manner that disrupts service availability for other users.

Violations may result in immediate suspension, permanent account termination, and reporting to relevant authorities.

4. Data & Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Here is how AI conversation data is handled:

• Free Plan Users: Conversations may be retained for up to 12 months and used, in anonymized form, to improve and fine-tune our AI models.
• Pro & Enterprise Plan Users: Conversation data is strictly private. It is not used for model training and is deleted after your defined retention period (default: 30 days).
• Opt-Out: Free plan users may contact us to opt out of AI training data usage at any time.
• Third-Party Models: Our AI features are powered by third-party LLM providers (currently Groq, using Meta LLaMA models). Messages you send may be processed by these providers. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
• No Sensitive Data: Never submit passwords, API keys, credit card numbers, government IDs, or any other sensitive personal data to the AI interface.

5. Model Information & Transparency

KmerHosting AI uses the following models (subject to change):

• Default Model: Meta LLaMA 3.3 70B Versatile (via Groq API)
• Available Models: Multiple LLaMA variants and specialized models accessible from the model selector in the AI interface.
• No proprietary training data: We do not use your personal files or hosting data to train our AI models.

6. Accuracy Disclaimer

AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, outdated information, or hallucinations. KmerHosting AI is provided on an "as is" basis. You should always:

• Verify critical technical information against official documentation before implementation.
• Never execute AI-generated shell commands or scripts without fully understanding and reviewing them first.
• Treat AI outputs as suggestions, not authoritative advice.
• Consult a professional for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions.

KmerHosting is not liable for any damages, data loss, or security incidents arising from the use of AI-generated content or suggestions.

7. Rate Limits & Fair Use

To ensure equitable access for all users, KmerHosting AI enforces rate limits:

• Free Plan: 50 messages per day, subject to token limits per message.
• Pro Plan: 500 messages per day with higher token limits.
• Enterprise Plan: Custom rate limits and dedicated infrastructure.

8. Account Suspension for Violations

KmerHosting reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your access to AI services — and your account as a whole — without prior notice if you violate any provision of this policy. We employ automated monitoring and human review to detect policy violations. Repeated or severe violations may be reported to law enforcement authorities.

9. Intellectual Property of AI Outputs

Content generated by KmerHosting AI in response to your prompts is provided for your use. You retain responsibility for ensuring that any AI-generated content you publish or use commercially does not infringe on third-party intellectual property rights. KmerHosting makes no warranty regarding the copyright status or originality of AI-generated outputs.

10. Policy Updates

KmerHosting reserves the right to update this AI Usage Policy at any time to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our service offerings. Continued use of our AI services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes.
